Jewelry care
To help your jewelry stay beautiful for years to come we recommend removing it before bathing, exercising, swimming, or cleaning.
Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, perfumes, lotions, and household chemicals. When you're not wearing your jewelry, store it in a dry place away from humidity.
Avoid storing multiple pieces together as they may scratch one another.
Sterling silver & bronze
Sterling silver and bronze naturally oxidize over time, meaning they gradually develop a darker patina. Exposure to air, moisture, skin oils, and everyday substances can speed up this natural process.
To restore their shine, gently polish your jewelry with a jewelry polishing cloth. Bronze in particular will regain its warm golden color after a little polishing.
It is also common for bronze to temporarily leave a green mark on the skin, especially when worn as rings. This harmless reaction varies from person to person and depends on factors such as your skin's natural pH, moisture (including perspiration), lotions, and environmental conditions. Regular polishing and storing your bronze jewelry in a dry place when not in use can help reduce this effect.
Gemstones
Clean gemstones gently using mild dish soap, lukewarm water, and a soft brush or soft cloth. Although many gemstones are durable, some are naturally delicate and can chip or crack when handling. Treat them with care and avoid harsh chemicals or sudden temperature changes.
Pearls & Paua shell
Pearls and Paua shell should be cleaned by gently wiping them with a soft cloth. Both materials are relatively soft and can scratch easily, so avoid abrasive cleaners and rough handling.
Pearls are especially sensitive to perfumes, cosmetics, hairspray, and other chemicals. For best results, apply your skincare and beauty products first then put on your pearl jewelry as the final step.
